Sorry, we do not have a notary on staff.
How do I get a library card?
Apply in person at the circulation desk. Library cards are free to residents of Sanford and Springvale. Non-resident fee is $35/year or $18/six-months.
- Adults need to provide a photo ID and proof of current Sanford or Springvale residence.
- High school students may use a current year student ID.
- Children from birth through middle school may be issued a library card if the application is signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Do I need my library card to check out materials?
Yes, the process is more accurate and more efficient when using the card. Your name may be similar to another patron’s name in our statewide consortium, but your card number is unique. We will check out items with a valid photo ID. If your card is lost, a replacement is available for $2.00
What is the check-out period?
The check-out period for all items is three weeks. Renewal for three additional weeks is allowed on items that are not “on hold” for someone else. Items may be renewed from home – log in to your account or call us. You will need your library card number.
How much are overdue fines?
As of June 2021 we are fine-free! Materials will still have due dates, but there will be no fines on items returned late. If you provide us with your email address, you will receive a reminder the day before your items are due.
Do you accept book donations?
We are not accepting book donations at this time.
Do you have book sales?
